The Placentia Area Historical Society (PAHS) is seeking a Museum Coordinator to support the operation of the O’Reilly House Museum and St. Luke’s Cultural Heritage Centre in Placentia, Newfoundland and Labrador.
This is a 16-week term position offering an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in heritage conservation, tourism, and cultural programming.

Duration: 16 weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week
Wage: $18.23 per hour
Position Summary
The Museum Coordinator will support the preservation and enhancement of two designated heritage properties while helping deliver engaging tourism and cultural experiences for residents and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Heritage site restoration and maintenance
- Office administration
- Exhibit development
- Guided tours and historical interpretation
- Assisting with workshops, festivals, speaker series, and community events
- Supporting tourism initiatives and visitor experiences
This position offers valuable experience in heritage conservation, tourism operations, project coordination, and community engagement while contributing to local economic development.
